    is it correctly written precisely the group of eight of us part.

    Thanks for your reply but my worry is it does not sound good when u say a group of eight of us , i m bit confuse here. the is because its kind of its own event.

    Worry no more, immi! You have properly framed your sentence. 'A group of eight of us' is correct.

    I think "8 of us" doesn't mean it makes a group, isn't it ? Maybe it means "we have 8 ones at least but no any group".
    And "a group of 8 of us" means "we have a group at least and the group mentioned here has 8 ones".
    Am I right ?

    I agree that if you simply said "8 of us from the Agency went...", it could simply mean that 8 people who work for the same Agency all happened to go to Cannes, but not necessarily together.

    "A group of 8 of us..." shows that the 8 people all went together, and included the writer.

    Immi - do please take note of one of the previous comments, and ensure that your posts are correctly capitalised and punctuated. It makes them much easier for us to read, and saves us the time and effort of constantly correcting your posts to add capitalisation and punctuation.
