    In what

While I was reading sport news I came across "In what" in this sentence. I know its meaning but does the usage is specific? Why the writer didn't use...
    in which
    or in where
    or in why
, I think this is wrong.

Brazil midfielder Ramires has pleaded with Benfica to let him go to Chelsea in what he described as a "dream move".

Here, "what" could be replaced by "a move that", which is a "thing" therefore becomes "that".

Imagine it as a question and answer:

What does Ramires consider to be a "dream move"?
Moving to Chelsea is what he considers to be a dream move.

Note: we don't say "in where" or "in why".

Please read the last sentence of my first reply.

    Examples of "in which":

I own a red dress, in which I look really good! (I look really good in the red dress I own.)
He has a large garden, in which he plays football. (He plays football in his large garden.)
There is a small park, in which roses are grown. (Roses are grown in a small park.)

It actually does refer to the preposition "in", in its normal use.
