    that's all

    Hi, Morning everyone.
    This is my own experience.
One day, I went to MacDonald to buy burgers. And after finishing my order, I said: "that's it". But, at the same time, I heard the other people say: "that's all."

I have been thinking it for a long time. Which one on earth is correct?
    Thank you.

    Both are correct.
"it" emphasizes my order, which is singular.

"all" emphasizes the things that make up my order.

    Re: that's all

    I agree with 2006.

Use either version with equal confidence.

I agree that both are perfectly acceptable.

What's not acceptable? Eating in McDonald's!!! Get yourself some real, proper food - it's good for your brain so will help you study English!

    Re: that's all

    Both are right and acceptable.

One possible argument: 'That's all' is more polite than 'that's it'.

So, use 'that's all' if you specifically mean about the items of your order.

    Thanks
