    Cool grrr! Present Perfect, again!

    Hello!!!

I understand how we use the present perfect, but sometimes it still confuses me!

Is the use of the PP correct in these cases:

-I had to make and choice and that's it, I've made it! (before announcing it)

    -We've had many problems, again!

-What kind of nice party have you prepared for her? (this is at the very very beginning of the party).

-I've seen many videos at the police station.

    -I've left you 10 messages!

-We've had many problems! (Would it be better to say: We've been having many problems!).

    Thanks a lot
    W

    Re: grrr! Present Perfect, again!

-I've seen many videos at the police station.

    -I've left you 10 messages!
These two sound a bit weird without any context, but they could be fine. Where is the first speaker now? Is the second speaker leaving an eleventh message on an answerphone? (If so, the present perfect would be fine)

-We've had many problems! (Would it be better to say: We've been having many problems!).
Again, it depends- if the problems are ongoing or very recent or there are likely to be more, the progressive form is fine. It could also be used when explaining something to the person who has come to repair it, for instance.

No, in this case, the second speaker pops in at the 1st speaker's and says "I"ve left you 10 messages"!! (Would it be better to use the past simple in this case, even though we don't give any time reference here?)

    Thanks a lot Tdol.

-I've had many problems that's why I didn't check my emails. (Is the sequence of tenses correct, here?).

-I've had many problems that's why I haven't had time to check my emails (could we say "didn't have time"?).

    Thanks a lot
