Question Can't grasp the meaning of this sentence...

    Hi everyone,

This is part of a text about keeping track of birds using GPS...

"Anyway, GPS gives us a lot of data: geographic coordinates within 14 feet for up to 16 hours a day."

What does the bolded section mean? (here, coordinates must refer to the dots on a graph related to GPS I suppose...) Thanks a lot.

The co-ordinates are accurate to within 14 feet and are available for a maximum of 16 hours a day.
