    Tell Me Why?

    Hello.

I read this conversation from a book . And I need you guys to help me.

    this is the conversation:

_ Do you need the car today, honey?
_ Yes, I have a lot of errands to do. Why don't I drive you to work today?
_ Okay. But be sure to fill the car up with gas sometimes today.

Why he use the word "sometimes" here. And he doesn't omitted it?
If the the sentence is correct. What does sometimes mean here?

I think it's an error. It should surely say "sometime today", meaning "at some point during the day".

    Re: Tell Me Why?

    I agree with emsr.

    It could also be omitted.
