    Post Punctuation

    My dear teachers,
Has he, my friend, punctuated the statement correctly?

Pure mathematicians would prefer saying,"The equation defines the function," or "The function is defined by the equation."

    Not a teacher.

The location of the punctuation depends on if you are in America or Britain. In America, the punctuation goes inside the quotes.
