Does make commitment sounds better or give commitment sounds better?

1) I will make a hundred percent commitment to my job/ I will give a hundred percent of commitment to my job.

2) He will make a press release/press statement about his mistake.

For 1), I belive make is much more common here in North America. For 2, I'm unsure what the question is.

You can google "issue a press release" to see some examples of its use.

For 1, you could also use 'I will be 100% committed...'
