    Re: A very small question

    I'd keep the "with".

    Re: A very small question

Interesting. I'd say "pouring rain" too. American thing?
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

    Hello Sir,

Any reason why you would prefer keeping "with" in this sentence?

"Pouring with rain" is a standard phrase in BrE, (to the best of my knowledge).

Well , thank all of you for your helpful comments
Any reason why you would prefer keeping "with" in this sentence?
I'd keep the "with" too because in British English we say :
It's pouring with rain/it poured with rain "British English"
Here is an example taken from Longman Dictionary :
It was pouring down with rain at three o'clock.

    Sir Shakespeare,

    (1) You probably already know this idiom, but if you do not, I thought

that you would like to know it:

It was raining cats and dogs for days on end.

To rain cats and dogs = to rain very strongly.

    THANK YOU
