    forgive us/sorry

    After my friend and I sing a song in a party, can I say to the audience:

    Forgive us, we are not professional singers.
    or, Sorry, we are not professional singers.

    Have I used forgive us or sorry correctly in that context?

    Yes, they are both OK.
