I would like to know what this word means.
I didn't find itt in dictionaries.
I'm translating the song called Bedshaped by Keane.
Maybe someone could give a synonim.
Thnak you very much
I had a look at the lyrics and I can't make too much of it. I know it's about dying and meeting together in the other dimension in the presence of "the light". It's a long shot on my part but perhaps he sees her lying in bed (deseased?) or just about ready to cross over?
I believe Keane is singing about lost love. "You'll follow me back" means, you will come back to me. And "With the sun in your eyes" refers to happiness, loved filled eyes. "Bedshaped" refers to the feeling of a bed. That is, a bed comforts by encompassing a body, as does the place inside the open arms of your love upon being reunited. "Bedshaped" refers to a reunited hug, a known, safe, and comfortable feeling. "And legs of stone" means, you will stay this time. You won't go away. Stone is immovable, forever, and lasts the test of time. "You'll knock on my door" means, you'll come back to me. "And up we will go in white light" means, we'll be as happy as if we were in heaven.
Bedshaped by Keane . . . You follow me back
With the sun in your eyes
And on your own
And legs of stone
