Interested in Language
Could you, please, tell if the three sentences below sound OK in English:
1. There is some time.
2. There is some staff.
3. There is some suff.
How about "There is/are some staff left."
I was taught it can be treated singular or plural:
- a staff of 600
- The survey showed, that the staff in this company seems undervalued.
- Hospital staff were not to blame. (this examle from Oxford Dict.)
