Student or Learner
Does this question is grammatical enough? How best can it be revised?
"What are other techniques besides using L1-L2 approach and code-switching to aid rural learners to gain their understanding of a lesson content?"
I have a few suggestions though:
I think that "a lesson content" is an awkward phrase; we can't really have "a content". You could say "a lesson's content" if you wanted.
Perhaps just "lesson content" would even sound better.
I think "gain their understanding" is redundant, because you can just use "understand", and there's no set phrase "gain understanding" in Br English.
You would need a definite article with "approach".
The "feel" of the question is very formal, and it might be quite hard to understand, especially for a non-native speaker, because of the ordering of the clauses.
I might try rearranging it like this:
"Besides using the L1-L2 approach and code-switching, what are other techniques to aid rural learners to understand lesson content?"
