    Will or would?

    Should I say

'If I'm available, I would be online' or

'If I'm available, I will be online'?

Are both of these the same/grammatically correct?

    Re: Will or would?

I'd like to know which one I should use if I want to say a general statement about when I come online.

    Re: Will or would?

***Neither a teacher nor a native speaker.***

    My guess:
If I were available, I would be online.
If I'm available, I will be online.

Use the 2nd sentence in your case.

    Cheers!

But is 1 'wrong', and why? I'd like a response from a native speaker-teacher.

Yes, #1 is wrong. "If I am...I will"; "If I were...I would". As Nightmare has already said.
