Cool A swansong opus which was to say the last word about its genre.

Is it correct to say in a subjunctive meaning:

A swansong opus which was to say the last word about its genre.

    Thanks

Give us a full sentence to consider please.

I'm seeing no subjunctive in that fragment.

Re: A swansong opus which was to say the last word about its genre.

... and you don't need to say 'swansong opus'. An artist's swansong is his final piece of work.

(Incidentally, you may find the derivation of 'swansong' interesting: Swan song - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. You'll notice that Wikipedia separates the words - which makes it all the clearer that you don't need 'opus' in your phrase; it already has a noun.)
