    wrongful death/ at fault

    Dear teachers,

Would you be kind enough to tell me whether I am right with my interpretation of the expressions in bold in the following sentence?

A wrongful death attorney can act for you if one of your family members has died in a situation where somebody else can be held to be at fault.

wrongful death = a death that is caused by the wrongful act or negligence of another and that serves as the basis for a civil action for damages on behalf of the decedent's heirs

at fault = to be the cause of a mistake; mistaken

    Thank you for your efforts.
