    window dressing

    Dear teachers,

Would you be kind enough to tell me whether I am right with my interpretation of the expression in bold in the following sentence?

They are too loving in public; I donít believe in it, I think itís window dressing.

window dressing = pretence, simulation, beautification, presenting of the things in favorable light

    Thank you for your efforts.

    Regards,

    V.
