    grubs

"I went to buy some grubs in a supermarket on campus."
Does the word "GRUB" here mean snacks or food,is that normally acceptable?
Cause, you know what I think of "Grub" is worm or sth.

Grub is food here (slang). I don't think it's used with an "s" at the end. It's quite common where I live ( without the "s"): grub, vittles, chow, etc.
