    life span

    Dear teachers,

Would you be kind enough to tell me whether I am right with my interpretation of the expression in bold in the following sentence?

When the German government unveils its new energy concept September 28, it will likely announce a plan to prolong the life span of the country's 17 existing nuclear power plants

life span = a lifetime; longevity

    Thank you for your efforts.

    Regards,

    V

    Re: life span

    Hi Vil

For "life span" read "operational life".

    Hope this helps

    Best regards
