Dear English teachers,
Would you be so kind answering my questin below? I have a sentence below:

My question is why had there been used is having to in the sentence? What is the function of it? And I assume that tere are two sentences in this sentence . what is the another one?
And my second question is about thinking in English. I am a Turk that is I am not a native speaker. So first off all whan I hear an English sentence I translate it in Turkish in my mind but tis is not easy and it takes time I have to think in English . how will I achive this? Please explain me dear English teachers….
Thanks in advance
"Having to..." has a function of noun here.
I guess you understand this sentence:
What I hate about winter mornings is the cold.
"Having to go back to work" has the same function in your sentence.
