My wife and I vs Me and my wife

    Hello
I would like to ask you if there is any difference between

    a.My wife and I
    or
    b. My and my wife.

Could you please let me know if they can be used interchangeably?

I would like to thank you in advance for your help.
    Best Regards

    Alex.

Re: My wife and I vs Me and my wife

    Certainly not.

'My wife and I' is used as the subject of a sentence and 'My wife and me' as the object.

'My wife and I enjoyed our meal.'

'You can come and see my wife and me whenever you like.'

You will often hear 'me and my wife' from native speakers, but that doesn't make it right.

They are both correct in the right context.
For example, "My wife and I bought new shoes yesterday", here "my wife and me" would not be correct.
"The manager of the cinema gave my wife and me complementary tickets", here "my wife and I" would be incorrect.
