I suggest keeping the tenses parallel.

When I work, I have fun.
When I work, I enjoy myself.

When I"m working, I'm having fun.
When I'm working, I'm enjoying myself.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
