Hi, Would you explain the different usage between phrases "report to" and "report into"?
Example: Mike will report into Sam with dotted line reporting to Jim.

It appears that you´re describing a chain-of-command in which one person reports to another. I can´t think of any situation where you would use report into.

Please note I'm not a teacher nor a native speaker;

The only situation I could possibly think of to use report into is when report is used as a noun, but more common preposition would be on.

The official report into the accident ....

:up:... I agree that 'report to' is vastly preferable, but I've sometimes heard 'report in to' (articulated as if it were three words).

Yes. For example, "report in to headquarters."
