I have read the sentence as below in a book:
When the young first-year lawyer from Day, Knight, Black, White, Young and Olds works on your file, you are certainly inclined to feel more comfortable than you would if you were using Joe Blow's one-man law firm, which has been operating for thirty years.
Questions:
1. What is the meaning of "from" here?
2.What is the meaning of Day, Knight, Black, White, Young and Olds ?
3. What verb is after "would " which have been omitted ?

1. What is the meaning of "from" here? From here means the origin of the lawyer. He works for Day, Knight,etc.
2.What is the meaning of Day, Knight, Black, White, Young and Olds ? This is the name of the law firm. These are all common surnames, used here, figuratively, to show that the law firm employs a diverse set of lawyers with various skills.
3. What verb is after "would " which have been omitted ? No verb has been omitted. You could insert feel or be, but this is not necessay, as would refers to the earlier use of feel.
