    Question 'by instalments'

    Hi there,
Would you please tell me if there is any informal term for 'paying by instalments', espacially in BrE?

    Thanks in advance.

"On HP" (hire purchase) "on the never-never", "on the knock", these are all dated expressions which, I would imagine, would be very rarely used these days.

Also 'on deffered terms' and 'on credit' (which doesn't mean 'using a credit card').
