    put the cage up

    Dear all,

I know the literal meaning of "put the cage up", but i'm wondering if it has any other meanings.

the context in hand is not clear, and there is no actual cages in the scene, but basically, there were a disagreement... people don' want to cooperate together:

    A: get out of office
    A's friend : calm down!
A: not until we put the cage up

so, even if he is mocking, what does he possibly mean?! can you please give me any clue?

    Thanks a lot.

More context or dialogue is required.

Does this take place in a bank?
