    adjust to and adapt to

    I'm confused about the difference between adjust to and adapt to.Could you do me a favor?Thanks.

    But my friend told me adapt to means someone will change its habit or something forever or for a long time.adjust to means someone will change its habit for a short time.The difference is the time to change.Is it right?Thanks.

    I don't think so.

    You can adapt or adjust for a long or a short time.
