There is no consensus on this question

I received many advises on how to correct my sentence.
But all of them are different.
    Could anybody help me please?

I like to play bridge. I can play poker but I don't play it often. Even if play it once in a while, I go back to bridge.

    Thank you.

Your sentences above about bridge and poker are fine.

I like to play bridge. I can play poker but I don't play it often. Even if I do play it once in a while, but I [always]** go back to bridge.

    Thank you.
What are these differing views*? Unless we know them, we risk repeating them; we could just be adding to the mass of conflicting views you've got, leaving you none the wiser.

    *"Advice" is not countable.
** This is not essential, but the idea of 'even if' would be implied if you had some adverbial to contrast with 'once in a while'.
