    Can't make sense of a particular expression

    I came across this phrase in one the songs by coldplay which says "coming up tails".
    I imagine it's like "chasing up tails", but i'd like to be sure.

    Just a guess . . .

    This might refer to tossing a coin. One side is "heads," the other "tails". A person bets on which side it will land.

    Someone who keeps coming up "tails" is not winning any bets, can't change his luck, or may be in a rut.

    (Song lyrics are often difficult to figure out. )
