    Usage of bend and lift

If the scooter doesn't start, bend it a little to the left so that the fuel flows into the engine. Lift it back up and try starting it. It should start.

Can someone please tell me if the above para sounds natural?

    1) Is the usage of bend correct? Can it be replaced with tilt, lean or tip? Any other better word?
    2) Is the usage of lift correct? Any better word?

Re: Usage of bend and lift

Reading your post, I immediately thought 'tilt' instead of 'bend' before I saw that you'd thought of it yourself. That would be my choice.

'Lift it back up' is fine.
