    by implications

    Dear teachers,

Would you tell me whether I am right with my interpretation of the expressions in bold and usage of the “implication” in the following sentences?

I was clearly disturbed by the implications of the observable cooling off in their family atmosphere.

by implications = indirectly (of consequences)

What are the implications of the new mutual relation in their family?

The implication was that they were splitting up.

    Thank you for your efforts.

    Regards,

    V

    Re: by implications

In your sample sentences, there are differences in the meaning:

I was clearly disturbed by the implications of the observable cooling off in their family atmosphere.
what was happening due to the cooling off

What are the implications of the new mutual relation in their family?
    what does the future hold

The implication was that they were splitting up.
