    Hello Teachers,

Can you please check the following sentences for grammatical, punctuative, or any other forms of mistakes. I hope you can also show the difference between each pair.

1- Honesty, sincerity, civility and intelligence are main characteristics of his personality.

2- Honesty, sincerity, civility and intelligence are the main characteristics of his personality.

3- People liked him for his honesty, sincerity, civility and intelligence.

4- People liked him for his honesty, his sincerity, his civility and his intelligence.

    Thank you in advance,
    Sayed

#1 tells me that there are OTHER main characteristics.
#2 tells me that these are all of the main characteristics.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

2 and 3 seem to be much better. In 4 - why repeating that these are his honesty, sincerity etc. Can they be someone else's?

2, 3 and 4 are fine, one sounds a bit clumsy.

It's a common device in actual public speaking rhetoric and style.
