Hello friends,
I would like to know your opinions about this problem.
Months ago I watched a game and of course I still remember its result.
A friends asks me, "Hey, did you watch that soccer game?"
I answer: "Oh yes, of course I watched it and I hoped Italy win."
Is this answer correct or do I have to say:
"Oh yes, I watched it and I hoped Italy won." :?:
The problem is the 2nd sentence lets it sound as if I don't know the result.
Maybe the best answer would be:
"Oh yes, I watched it and I hoped Italy would have won."
Cheers!
