one of the reasons are/is?

hello! everyone...

I'm just confuse we've discussed this before on training but the answer is still not clear...

What is correct?

"one of the reasons are" or "one of the reasons is" :lol:

It should be "is" because the verb is referring to "one" not "reasons". The subject here is "one of the reasons" which is singular because, well, it says "one". It's not referring to "all" or "two" of the reasons, it's just "one". Therefore, "is" should be used.
