Hi, everyone. If my son is working (or playing) using his labtop, is he (working/playing) at, with, or on the computer? Thanks in advance!
Feel free to correct my sentences. I welcome them, not resent them!
I would most commonly say your son is working/playing on his laptop. However, I think all can be used in certain situations.
'Max is playing on the computer.'
'I can't come to the phone just yet, I am working on the computer.'
I would say with when your son is perhaps playing a game against the computer. For example, 'Max was late for school yesterday, he was too busying playing with his computer.'
At would be used when you want to describe where your son is. For example, 'Max is at the computer.'
Hope this helps.
