I wish s'body told me whether the following conversion is correct or not:

Direct Narration : She said to me, " I could speak English earlier."

Indirect Narration: She told me that she could have spoken English before.

Direct Narration: He said to me, " I could do it."

I wish s'body told me whether the following conversion is correct or not:

Direct Narration : She said to me, " I could speak English earlier."

"said" and "to me" doesn't work together. I could speak English earlier., doesn't make sense to me.
I should start learning English as soon as possible.
Indirect Narration: She told me that she should start learning English as soon as possible.

Direct Narration: He told me,"I could do it."

Indirect Narration: He told me that he could it.

hi,
please note I'm not a teacher nor a native speaker;

There is no change to: could, would, should, might and ought to when you make conversion to indirect speech.

she said to me - works fine

Cheers
