Is it the correct usage ? Please suggest if some different term or word is in vogue to carry the intent.

Your tea is getting cold.

Your tea is losing warmth.

"Your tea is getting cold" is perfect.

Northing is wrong with the first sentence, get cold in here means "become cold". Your tea's gone cold.

I feel like that no one uses "grow+v1-er" form anymore. Has it become out-dated or do I incidentially not come across it? Or am I mistaken that "get+v1" form is not the same thing as "grow+v1-er". I'll be happy to receive responces on whether I'm right or not.
