    Have and Take

Can we use Take instead of Have in the following sentence?:
I can't have you insulting me.
Since I hear words like :I can't take this, or I can't have that which means I can't tolerate or accept that.

    Re: Have and Take

    Different meanings.

I can't have you... = I cannot allow you to do that.
I can't take you... = This is making me crazy/angry/upset so that I can't tolerate it any longer.

(In the second one, I'd use "your" not "you.")
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

I got it.But what you mean you'd use "your"? You mean I have to say "I can't have your insulting me?"
