    many / more choice

    Dear all,

"I have much more books than my brother."

Why is the use of "much" here wrong?

    Thank you!

Book is a countable noun, therefore you should use many. Use much with uncountable nouns. "I have much more land than my brother."

Thank you for your reply. Now I'd like to know if the original sentence "I have much more books than my brother" is gramatically correct?

Or how would you express than those books in the example are "more than many"..? Would you say "many more books than my brother?

    Thanks in advance!!
