    Thumbs up sentence

Which is acceptable, sentence (1) or (2) ?

    1. Being too absorbed in singing, she carelessly overturned a bucket filled with water and spilled it all over the floor.

    2. Lost in singing, she carelessly overturned a bucket filled with water and spolled it all over the floor.

    Re: sentence

The second's better than the first, but they both suffer from a surfeit of verbs! When you overturn a bucket of water it spills. I'd say Lost in singing, she spilled a bucket of water all over the floor.. Or perhaps that's a bit sparse... What about '...she knocked a bucket over and spilled water all over the floor.'? Hmm... too many 'over's.... '...she knocked a bucket over and soaked the floor [with dirty/soapy/<whatever>] water.'
