    My speech

    Hello,

Can anyone help me to find the sample of speech?

I am going to say some thing in front of people in the church about my Aunt's funereal day. THe speech will focus saying thank you for all people coming in funeral day and more details.
My mind is empty now. Does anyone have any sample speech about funeral? I would like to get ideas from it.
    Thanks in advance

    ken Ng.

    Re: My speech

There are some samples on sites like this:

Eulogy Speeches ~ Sample Eulogies, Funeral Poems and Quotes
However, they mostly seem to be eulogies (speeches praising the person who has passed away)

    Re: My speech

    Hello,

These are the eulogy or speeches how to share the memory. This is not what I want.
I want a speech to say "thank you for everybody come here in this church to attend my Aunt's funereal.... "that's it.
    Thanks

    Re: My speech

My condolences on the loss of your aunt.

Thank you so much for coming. This is a sad day for us, but I'm sure Aunt Betty would prefer that we remember her as she was, and so on behalf of her family, thank you for coming to celebrate her life with us.

    Would that work for you?
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.

...and please note that it's her funeral (not funereal).

    Re: My speech

thanks Barb_D for your idea, but it is a little too short.
    Here is the outline;
    a. On behalf our family...
    b. Thanks for coming...
    c. Forgive us if we made any mistake during difficult times...
    d. After Mass (church), we will bring Ms. Ann's body to cementey...

    Thanks again
