    Usage of pass

Take a fresh white cloth. Dip it in water for a while. Take it out and squeeze water out of it. Ask the patient to lie/sleep on his front. Pass the cloth gently over his back for about 15 minutes.

Can someone please tell me if the above para sounds natural? Any alternatives for pass? Also, does squeeze water from it work?

    I wouldn't use "rub", I prefer "pass".

    Like Chicchick, I prefer 'rub'.

You could pass it over his back without touching him.

    Re: Usage of pass

Just out of curiosity, what condition is this treatment recommended for?

If it doesn't do any good, it will certainly not do any harm.

Unless the patient dies of boredom.
