    they was!

    Hi!

    I've heard in the movie Forrest Gump "we was like peas and carrots" or s.th like that and "they was!"

    When can we say was for they and we?

    I advise all students of English (or any language for that matter) to stick to the correct grammatical forms at all times, however often you might hear native speakers using incorrect dialect or informal variations, such as 'we was' and 'I were'.
