    Grammar Diagnostic

    Hey all,

I'm going to be teaching a new batch of middle-aged students starting in a few days and already know that lack of and resistance to grammar is going to be the biggest hurdle for us to overcome.

Can someone suggest a low-priced or "open-source" grammar diagnostic that I can use during the opening week to get some kind of idea what I will have to review with students and what they already know?

TOEIC is a terrible tool to measure ability and I need to know what basic constructions / skills these guys need to start hitting in our first few weeks.

    Re: Grammar Diagnostic

There are some diagnostics here but it's not an area covered very well on the web:

tdol- Thanks for the link. That's a pretty impressive set of material; I'm sure I can cobble exactly what I'm looking for out of all that.

    Thanks again!
