    are these sentences ok?

    Hi, are these sentences acceptable?

" Music competitions are interesting because the singers try to give excellent performances and the reporters follow around the artists for an interview. "

" A hotel needs sterilization every year since the rooms has to be very clean."

    Thank you

    Re: are these sentences ok?

I am not a teacher, but I can point out a few things.

I think that the first sentence is grammatically correct (the semantics is impossible to assess, though).

"A hotel needs sterilization every year because the rooms have to be very clean."

Postdeborinite gave you a good answer.

I would only add that 'artists' should be 'artistes.'
