    as half as..

    Hi

Please let me know if the sentence is correct and what does it mean?

When I entered the party, everyone was amazed to see that my dress was half as good as that of the bride.

    Regards
    Pallavi

It's a strange sentence. I don't think having a dress half as good as another person is much cause for amazement.
It simply means the bride's dress was twice as good as yours.
