    to nurture

Please explain the following in bold more easily.

Sometimes deals fall apart because the prospects can't handle the amount of work required on their side. But Josh uncovers this early on, instead of after months of work. If there's a danger of this, he puts them on his list of prospects to nurture and keeps in touch with them on a regular basis.

Does this mean "he puts those prospects on his list of prospects who need to be educated and cared for (nurtured)"?

    Thank you.
