    take umbrage

    Dear teachers,

Would you tell me whether I am right with my interpretation of the expression in bold in the following sentence?

Most Germans take umbrage at the lack of integration by Muslim immigrants

take umbrage = feel resentment, take offense

    Thank you for your efforts.

    Regards,

    V

Yes, you are correct about the bolded part. Sounds like the Muslims mainly focus on differentiation. Can't blame them myself, integration is hard.
