    ride regarding means of transportation

"I've been riding on a bus to work for the past couple of weeks."

    OR

"If I'm not hard pushed for money I ride in cabs whenever I can."

    Possible use?

    ~not a teacher~

"If I was not hard pushed for money, I'd ride in cabs whenever I could."

You can use these verb phrases:

    take a bus
    take a train
    take a taxi
    take a subway
    ride/drive a car

    "I take a bus to work/school."

It's not the conditional thing. It refers to the present meaning "If I have money".

I was asking If it's possible to use it the way I suggested. I was not asking for other options.

    OR

"If I'm not hard pushed for money, I ride in cabs whenever I can." This one sounds ok to me, but in AmE, hard up and hard pressed are more common. I`v never heard hard pushed.

    Possible use?
