    He seemed as if

    He seemed as if he was about to say more but then stopped.

    I know the 'He' should have been 'It'. But just out of curiosity, may I ask if
    the sentence sounds ok to native English speakers?

    Sounds fine to me. He or It, I think the meaning is the same here.

    (where the 'that' should have been 'as if')
